Tipsy Tuesday – Grandma’s Garden

Grandma’s garden always seemed to have fresh herbs no matter the season. Fragrant, full and beautiful. At least that’s they way I remember it… She could cook, heal wounds, tell stories, and make a mean meal from that garden. This cocktail is an ode to grandmas everywhere. Simple, but sure to please.

And if you aren’t a gin drinker, don’t worry, the fragrances in this cocktail combined with the herbs from the gin, take away any of that typical gin flavor that you avoid. Personally, I love gin and all the ways you can manipulate it into a wonderful fragrant cocktail. Give it a try, just like grandma, I’m sure it will please.

The Good Stuff:

  • 2 ounces gin
  • 3/4 ounce fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 3/4 ounce lavender simple syrup
  • Rosemary sprig

The How To:

  • Combine ingredients in a shaker.
  • Shake and strain over ice.
  • Garnish with a rosemary sprig

Note: You can learn how to make lavender simple syrup in my Blueberry  Lavender Mojito post.
