My crossfit coach, AJ Moore reminded me this morning that its berry season! This is truly something to be excited about… at least in my world (it’s the little things). I LOVE berries and I mean really love them! I never can get my fill but don’t like shelling out the money for how much the organic suckers cost during off season. So I do my part to support the farmers during this time of year and stock up and gorge myself on as many berries as humanly possible! Today I’m going to be working on some berry recipes that I’ll be sharing with you soon. As for now, I want to share with you a couple links to some of my favorite berry creations.
Berry Syrup (I would recommend substituting honey for the agave syrup.)
HEALTH BENEFITS: Berries contain some of the lowest amounts of sugar with some of the sweetest flavors. They are all packed full of antioxidants and high in vitamins and minerals, especially since they are currently in season. These are some of the best desserts to eat because you don’t have to worry as much about the sugar spike.
